Offered is a book entitled Best Foot Forward the autobiography of Colin Hodgkinson. Published by W. W. Norton & Company, Inc., New York. Copyright 1957, first edition. This book is a superbly told autobiography of a hero who lost both legs in a flying accident but went on to fly more than 100 missions against the Germans, survive a crash-landing in enemy territory, and then meet and conquer the handicaps with which peace presented him. This is a hard back book with the dust jacket. There are 269 pages. Measures 5 3/4 x 8 1/2 inches.

Greta Hodgkinson

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Greta Hodgkinson joined the National Ballet upon her graduation from the National Ballet School in 1990. She was promoted to Principal Dancer in 1996. With her dazzling technique and commanding stage presence, Hodgkinson continues to enthrall audiences with every new role she performs. She created the role of Odette/Odile in the world premiere of James Kudelka's Swan Lake in 1999. Other roles include Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Hanna in The Merry Widow, Princess Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty, Katherina in The Taming of the Shrew, Nikiya in La Bayadère and the title roles in Giselle and Manon. Equally renowned for her contemporary work, Hodgkinson gives outstanding performances as Summer in Kudelka's The Four Seasons, William Forsythe's Herman Schmerman Pas de Deux, Glen Tetley's Sphinx and the Rubies Variation of George Balanchine's Jewels.
