This is a book appears to be from the Church of God, Anderson. Of interest to those studying family religion, raising children, Holiness, Nazarene, Wesleyan Arminian, etc. That's a rather precise target age range. I wonder what happened in that household?

It is illustrated by Ann Werts and edited by Lydia Hale. 140 pages, printed in 1997 and published by the National Pygmy Goat Association. It has been lightly used but still in like new condition.

(25th June 2001) Mary Cary Blackburn Toward The Higlands A 133 page hardcover book of poems titled Toward The Highlands, by Mary Cary Blackburn, dated 1912. The forward says "Introducing to the public Mary Cary Blackburn, the author of this volume, we take pleasure in saying that she is a direct descendant from the same parent stock as the world-known poet sisters, Alice and Phoebe Cary. Her productions are true to life, strikingly original and close to nature's heart. She has mingled with God's creatures under widely varied conditions, and is equally at home in the crowded city and among the scattered settlers' shacks on the plains of Saskatchewan. A responsive chord will be touched in the heart of every reader, whether gay of nature and pleasure-loving or reserved and calm. Rich and poor, proud and lowly, will find that this little volume bears a personal message." There are approximately 150 poems in this book which is in good condition with about five pages having a wrinkle or very small tear on the end, a couple cover stains, a tight binding and a name written in pencil inside the front cover.

A Glad New Year, Winsch 1913, 4 pages Card Condition: Good with small corner crease in lower left corner---this card has the front and back cover --Inside the first page says TO WISH YOU EVERY HAPPINESS with a drawing of two birds on a branch on the back of that page, SECOND PAGE HAS A POEM BY OSBURN BLACKBURN, with a drawing of a home on the back of that page, the inside back cover has a picture of flowers. The back a divided style postcard with some writting , GAYLORD FROM DADDY in pencil----This card is in Beautiful condition------------- Un Posted

Inside photo of the Blackburns. Drawings by Basil King. EXCELLENT TO FINE CONDITION. Wrappers show slight discoloration, wear but still have sheen. Upper right corner ever so slightly bent. One of Blackburn's most inspired translations of troubadour poetry! Very hard to find now. o
