A terrific follow-on from the Margate show, concentrating on later works and including a reconstruction of the rue du Depart atelier.
The bookshop was selling Prof. Nancy J. Troy's The Afterlife of Piet Mondrian. This examines aspects of the market for Mondrian (and quasi-Mondrian) works after 1944 and, though expensive, is a recommended read.
This image of the reconstruction is from the Tate's web site. Also on display was a copy of the passenger record for PM's journey to the US. Thinking there would be an image in the catalogue, I didn't take a snap of the document: I was wrong.
I made a note of the works shown in the four exhibition rooms and should therefore be able to recreate the show over the next four pages.
